It focuses on raising awareness about gender equality and women's empowerment, providing knowledge, techniques, and tools in various areas. Sections cover key gender-related issues, policy development, enhancing the inclusion of women and girls, writing gender equality plans, and organizing training programs on leadership and empowerment.

The main contribution of the toolkit is to mobilize organizations of persons with visual impairments, emphasizing gender equality and the empowerment of women. It aims to raise awareness about the importance of including gender considerations in decision-making processes and organizational activities.

    2. Individuals, particularly those who experience or witness master suppression techniques in various settings, including politics, organizations, and workplaces, can use the toolkit.

  • The toolkit, developed by Berit Ås, serves as a tool to identify and make visible the five master suppression techniques: Making invisible, Ridiculing, Withholding information, Double bind (Damned if you do, damned if you don’t), and Heaping blame and putting to shame. It empowers individuals to recognize these techniques, neutralize their effects, and contribute to creating environments free from manipulation and domination.

    Leaders can assess and develop their leadership styles based on the situation, tasks, or people involved.
